I do not know if I will continue posting. There are many reasons for which I currently consider closing this site for good. Anyway, I thank you to all who ever read this blog, who encouraged and supported me. By the end of the Lent I will come, I think, to a final resolution.
Peace to all
Update 29 February 2008: I am humbled by your comments. Thank you to all for your kindness. This blog will remain on-line even if I won´t post here anymore.

Good news: Katyn was nominated for Oscar. This movie is more than a reminder of the Katyn tragedy, it is a movie made for: those moviegoers for whom it matters that we are a society, and not just an accidental crowd, as the director Andrezj Wajda put it.

The bread which you do not use is the bread of the hungry; the garment hanging in your wardrobe is the garment of him who is naked; the shoes that you do not wear are the shoes of the one who is barefoot; the money that you keep locked away is the money of the poor; the acts of charity that you do not perform are so many injustices that you commit.

Into this world, this demented inn, in which there is absolutely no room for him at all, Christ has come uninvited. But because he cannot be at home in it, because he is out of place in it, and yet he must be in it, his place is with those others for whom there is no room. His place is with those who do not belong, who are rejected by power because they are regarded as weak, those who are discredited, who are denied the status of persons, tortured, exterminated. With those for whom there is no room, Christ is present in this world.
Thomas Merton
